Program Description

Too many young women have gone through the trauma of sexual assault. Kallah teachers have a unique opportunity to help a bride who has experienced trauma or sexual assault begin her married life with the tools needed to build a strong relationship. But in order to heal after sexual assault, guidance is essential! The Eden Center is proud to launch a new training program for experienced kallah teachers designed to provide you with tools and sensitivity to support brides with a history of sexual assault or trauma. Program highlights: THIS COURSE TAKES PLACE IN HEBREW The program consists of 8 focused sessions, addressing the emotional, relational, sexual, and halakhic aspects of guiding brides with a background of assault/trauma. The lecturers include psychologists, halakhic authorities, trauma experts, and representatives of organizations that support survivors, who will provide you with broad knowledge and deep understanding. Among the topics to be covered: • Presenting the laws of taharat hamishpacha and mikveh in a sensitive and appropriate way. • Understanding the mechanisms of sexual assault and trauma and their psychological impact on women. • Identifying and coping with common triggers. • Guidance on intimacy and sexuality. • Methodological approaches to teaching a survivor. • The ripple effects of trauma on connection to one’s body, boundaries, and more. Cancellation Policy

General Terms: • Courses are dependent on a minimum number of participants. A course or lecture may be cancelled if the required minimum is not met. • A trial class is offered for full-length courses. Payment is binding for all classes attended after the trial class. • Participants must pay the full course fee even if they miss classes, except in cases of illness lasting more than three weeks. A doctor’s note must accompany any refund request. • There may be changes in the order of sessions or lecturers who present. • If a participant misses a session, they may be eligible to make up the session in another course, in arrangement with Eden's administration. • Switching courses will be done only in agreement with the administration and will require recalculation of cost of participation. • In event of a participant cancellation, all discounts and scholarships are null and void, and the participant will be charged the full amount for classes attended. • A non-refundable registration fee applies to all lectures and programs, and serves as a deposit for participation. • Payment of the registration fee constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions. Course Payments: • The registration fee, which is non-refundable, must be paid prior to the course start date. • Full payment for the course, or an agreed-upon payment plan, must be settled by the second week of the course to continue participation. This includes arrangements for scholarships. • In the case of a returned check, the participant will cover any service fees entailed. Cancellation policy: • Cancellation up to 7 calendar days before the course start date: Full refund (excluding the registration fee). • From the start of the course for 10 calendar days: 80% refund. • From 10 days until 21 calendar days after the start: 50% refund. • Cancellation after three weeks from the start: No refund. • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Eden Center and must include 1) cancellation date, 2) classes attended, 3) reason for cancellation. The email date will determine the date of cancellation. • Refunds will be processed no later than 7 business days after the cancellation submission. Refunds will be issued via cash, bank transfer, or PayPal. Certification Requirements: • Attendance (max 15% absence); • Passing the exam; • Paid in full /scholarship work completed. • Scholarship tasks completed (where applicable)
